Shoreline Stablization/Bridge Work: Construction of 600’ Pedestrian Bridge South Bend, Indiana. BayShore was the General Contractor over construction on this project. Our services included construction services, environmental engineering and cost management for the construction of a 600-ft pedestrian bridge over a waterway located in South Bend Indiana. This project demonstrated BayShore’s capability for heavy construction management, QA/QC, value engineering and negotiation of materials issues. We created and conducted a construction methodology to coordinate simultaneous project efforts on water and land. During the project, Quality Control procedures identified an issue with sub-code welds within the bridge matting. Implementation of the corrective action required negotiation with the manufacturer and on-site repairs. The project involved rigorous testing including the bridge decking to determine suitability for the grade. $2.5M Click Here to view photos of this project

Dredging Work: Wave Wash Repairs (PL84-99), Gregory Drainage District, Union Township Drainage District, Fabius River Drainage District and Sny Island Levee and Drainage District, Mississippi River, Lewis and Marion Counties, Missouri, Adams and Pike Counties, Illinois. The work consists of stockpiling of approximately 190,000 cubic yards of previous material by hydraulic cutter head dredge. The majority of material to be stockpiled shall be placed in upland locations (landward of flood control levees) and will require construction of containment berms and pumping of dredged slurry water back over the flood control levees to return the water to the river. A unique feature of this project involved the submerging of nearly 1,000 feet of 16 inch HDPE across the river navigation channel. This allowed traffic to continue uninterrupted while dredging on one side of the river and depositing the material on the opposite shoreline. The river crossing effort was the first time for submerged HDPE piping to be used to cross the Mississippi River in the Rock Island District. $2.6M Click Here to view photos of this project
