The BayShore Story Bayshore was formed in early 2003, as a direct result of Patricia ("Patty") Capes' desire to own and manage her own company. Patty's formative years were spent on, or near, the shores of Lake Michigan. While growing up she was heavily influenced by her grandfather, a full blooded member of the Chippewa Tribe, who made his living as a "high iron" man on projects throughout the Great Lakes. His independent nature, and his participation in the erection of the Mackinaw Bridge resulted in the stories that pushed Patty toward the dream of owning a marine/land construction company. Late in 2004 BayShore started working with Federal contracts and successfully completed 10 contracts with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The company's goal is to build a successful heavy construction operation that can complete all projects on time, within budget, and with the highest safety practices.
